Lynn M. Dines

President and CEO

Lynn received her Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern Illinois University and began her career in Chicago at Standard Oil Company. In 1985, she received an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and began her career as a Defense Contractor at SAIC supporting the U.S. Air Force Space Division. In 1987, she began working with the Navy as a Logistics Analyst, and over time, was promoted to Logistics Directorate Head. Lynn founded SSI in 1997. Since that time, she has focused her energy on building a world-class organization that delivers value to our customers, creates value for our employees, and gives back to the community that we serve. Lynn is an active supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and a recipient the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Small Business Person of the Year Award. She has also completed the Executive and Advanced Executive Management Programs at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business.

Jim Reeder

Chief Financial Officer

Jim joined SSI in March 2016 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2016.  Jim provides the financial leadership to ensure that we maintain a competitive rate structure and we continually expand our strong financial base to support ongoing commitments and finance new opportunities. Jim has served most recently as a principal in Malibu Financial & Strategic Consulting.  Previously, he was CFO or Controller at public and private companies including Talon International, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of apparel components and accessories; Sheffield Manufacturing, an aerospace parts manufacturer; Data Exchange Corporation, an international provider of supply chain solutions; Special Devices, Inc., a manufacturer of automotive safety devices; and Power Lift Corporation, a distributor of Caterpillar materials and equipment.  He also served in various senior financial roles at Avery Dennison Corporation and Atlantic Richfield Company. Mr. Reeder has an MBA in Finance and Strategic Planning from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.S., Economics Summa Cum Laude from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Earnie Leonard

Director of Contracts

Earnie received his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from California State University, Fullerton. Earnie has also completed executive management programs at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of California, Irvine. He has over 25 years experience in the contracts field. Before joining SSI, he worked for Ford Aerospace, Sparta, Inc., Foster Wheeler Engineering, Litton Industries and the New York Stock Exchange. Earnie joined SSI in 2005 as our Director of Contracts and has spent the past 9 years working with Program Managers, partners, Government Contracting Officers, and audit agencies like DCAA and DCMA to ensure that SSI maintains rigorous compliance with all contract requirements and FAR regulations.

Brenda Melson

Human Resources Manager

Born and raised in Southern California, Brenda has over 25 years of human resources experience.  She started her Human Resources career in the medical manufacturing/pharmaceutical industry including Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.  She has worked over a decade in the DoD Government Contracting industry having worked for QinetiQ North America and Vencore.  Her experience encompasses all facets of human resources including benefits, policy design, compensation and staffing as well as employee relations.  Brenda joined SSI in 2014 as a Senior Technical Recruiter and was later promoted to Human Resources Manager.  She holds a Human Resources Management Certification from the Society of Human Resources Management.

William Jensen

Operations Manager

Bill provides a broad range of strategic, acquisition, management, technical, logistics, and training support to NAVAIR contracts with key strengths in support of Navy Acquisition management, budget planning, and aircraft systems expertise. Capable of working with large and diverse teams, Bill effectively provides high-level guidance and acquisition direction to technical staff, in areas of program management, logistics sustainment, platform/system integration, and resource planning.

CAPT Jensen retired from the US Navy after 27 years of service to become SSI’s Regional Operations Manager in the Patuxent River/DC region.  Prior to joining SSI, Bill accumulated over 3,800 flight hours and 831 aircraft carrier arrested landings aboard ten aircraft carriers that culminated in two combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of the VAQ-138 “Yellow Jackets”. His shore duties included leading the European Command’s Nuclear Command and Control division, serving as the State Department’s Senior Military Advisor on Iraq, and a final tour as the OPNAV N433 Targets and Ranges Readiness Branch Head where he managed a $1 Billion annual portfolio.

Bill received his Electrical Engineering BS from the University of Rochester and a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.

Jeffery Warren

Senior Engineering and Logistics Manager

Jeff received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from the University of Washington.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1991 through 1999, supporting the US Navy Nuclear Power Program.  After leaving the Navy, Jeff worked at Novellus Systems, Inc. as a Product Engineer on advanced deposition capital equipment.  He began working with SSI in 2004 as a Logistics Engineer, responsible for life-cycle Reliability, Maintainability, and Supportability as well as continuous process improvement initiatives for U.S. Navy weapons and target systems.  Over the years, Jeff advanced to his current position as Senior Engineering and Logistics Management with collateral responsibility as SSI’s ISO 9000 Management Representative. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and has a Project Management Professional certification.  Jeff is a member of the American Society for Quality and currently maintains a Six Sigma Black Belt.
